On September 19, Heritage Humane Society held its 5th Annual Make Par for Pets Golf Classic presented by Chesapeake Bank at Colonial Heritage Golf Club. This year’s tournament featured record-breaking attendance, with more than 100 golfers teeing off to raise money for animals in need.
Months of hard work and dedication from Heritage Humane Society Auxiliary members, sponsors, and volunteers paid off. In total, Heritage Humane Society raised more than $30,000 from this year’s tournament. The proceeds from the Make Par for Pets Golf Classic help Heritage Humane Society care for local animals in need.
Heritage Humane Society would like to extend a special thank you to all the sponsors who helped make this event possible including Chesapeake Bank, WMBG AM 740, Gore Capital Management, Warwick Mechanical Service, Anderson Financial Advisory Group, Charles Barker Lexus, GuernseyTingle, TK Asian Antiquities, Lumber Liquidators, and Wilson Law.

“We at Heritage Humane Society are blessed to have such an amazing auxiliary, volunteers, and sponsors, all of whom helped make this year’s Make Par for Pets Golf Classic possible,” said Heritage Humane Society Executive Director Kimberly Laska. “Despite the rain and otherwise dreary weather, our partners still came together to raise an incredible amount of money for our animals. We are looking forward to next year’s tournament, which we hope will be even bigger for our shelter.”
