Heritage Humane Society continues to depend on individual donors, grants, companies, community partnerships and fundraising activities throughout the year to meet more than 90 percent of our operating expenses which are budgeted at nearly a million dollars per year. Heritage Humane Society has the government contracts with Animal Control for James City County, City of Williamsburg, and District 1 of York County, and the combined total from all 3 municipalities is equal to less than 10% of our total operating budget. Your support is critical in helping save more lives of homeless pets that are in transition to their forever homes. An unrestricted gift allows us to use your donation in the best way possible to serve the pets in need. Heritage Humane Society is a 501 (c) (3) organization and your donation is fully deductible to the extent of the law. We are grateful for your help and support.
Your unrestricted donation to General Operations will support animal care, food, medicine, veterinary care and facility care and upkeep and everything else.

The C.A.R.E. fund helps treat animals with diabetes, gunshot wounds, cancer, heart worms, broken legs, eye ulcers, kidney stones and skin diseases, just to name a few.
