Our Mission: Heritage Humane Society serves as compassionate stewards of homeless pets that are in transition from stray/surrender to forever homes. We serve to educate the public about humane animal care and treatment, advocate animal welfare, and provide affordable adoption and spay/neuter services.
Our Pledge to You!
It is our pledge to you, our supporters and community members, that we will put every drop of energy we have into saving each adoptable pet that comes through our doors. This is a promise we make. We have a lot of work to do and many lives depend on the belief you have in our work. This is not something we take lightly.
We are Their Voice!
Heritage Humane Society is a local, independent, open-admission shelter that receives more than 90 percent of its funding through private donations. HHS receives no funding from the Humane Society of the United States or the ASPCA. HHS is an open-admission shelter, this means no homeless pet is turned away based on age, breed, health or behavior.
Your support is the reason we are able to continue our life-saving work for homeless pets in our community.
