HERITAGE HUMANE SOCIETY IS LOOKING FOR ITS NEXT TOP PET MODELS

Does your pet have what it takes to be a Heritage Humane Society top pet model?

Fashion ShowBeginning August 1, 2010 voting will begin for the selection of our next top pet models to participate is our annual “Puttin’ on the Dog” Fashion Show and Luncheon scheduled for Monday, October 11, 2010 at Crowne Plaza Fort Magruder.

Complete the form including a statement (50 words or less) as to why your pet should be one of our next top pet models; submit an online photo and a $10.00 application fee.

Your pet’s picture will be placed on the Heritage Humane Society “Next Top Pet Model” website. Clicking on your pet’s picture takes you to your pet’s personal FirstGiving page where your pet’s picture and your statement indicating why your pet should be the next top model will be presented for all to read.  Encourage family and friends to go online and vote for your pet.  Each vote is $1.00 and all proceeds go directly to benefit the animals in the care of the Heritage Humane Society.

The top eight models earning the most votes will “walk the runway” with their human companion in an outfit of their choosing (natural or manmade) at our “Puttin’ on the Dog” fashion show and luncheon to benefit the animals.  This “runway walk” is a highlight of the fashion show so submit your application and photo early as voting ends at midnight September 30.

“Heritage Humane Society received a Spay/Neuter Assistance Program grant. The grant allows HHS to offer Williamsburg low income families free spay and neuter services for dogs only. (Breeders do not qualify nor do dogs who were adopted from animal shelters.)”  For more information call our shelter at 221-0150.

How Else You Can Help

Heritage Humane Society is always in need of items to keep the shelter running like dog and cat food to keep the animals' bellies full, paper towels and soap to keep things sanitary and sometimes Fido chews through the old leashes we use to walk the dogs. Please click below to see the full list of what is needed. If you donate pet food, we request that you stick to the brands listed in the wish list.
